Four Tips To Squeeze In Study

Squeeze in Study

At times family, friends and work commitments can get in the way of your studies. In order to succeed, you need to make your own goals a priority. Here’s a list of simple ways to squeeze in study to maximise your learning.

Here are four ways to squeeze in study:

Plan and allocate your study time:

Planning your study time in advance is the best way to make steady progress on your courses. By making the effort to construct a study schedule you are introducing an element of structure and accountability to the studying. Once you have a schedule in place then it’s totally up to you, but by planning your study sessions in advance you’ve shown a signal of intent and made it much easier to squeeze in study.

Wake up a little earlier:

Some people love waking up early and getting a head start on the day. For the rest of us, getting up early to study can be a bit of a battle. Either way I think you’ll agree that each morning represents an opportunity get some extra work in for whatever you’re striving to achieve. In our case, an early half an hour study session can go a long way, especially if early morning study becomes a part of your weekly schedule.

Squeeze in a quick study session:

You’d be surprised how much you can get done in 20 minutes if you set your mind to it. If you find yourself with a spare 20 minutes, or even an hour, then don’t let it go to waste. Studies have found that the optimal study length before distractions kick in is 20 minutes. So if you want to accelerate your learning, try out a quick 20-minute study session. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised how much you will achieve in that short period of time!

Utilise your travel time:

It’s never been easier to get work done on the go. From iPhones to Macbook’s and even iPads, there is always a way to squeeze in study if you really want to. 3G Internet enables us to surf the web on all of our electronic devices, which means that daily commute on the train, bus or tram no longer needs to be wasted time.
